Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition

On this page

The Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition (BCAC) provides a united voice for New Zealanders who have experienced breast cancer. We provide information, support and representation, empowering those with breast cancer to make informed choices about their treatment and care. BCAC is run by breast cancer survivors, and represents more than 30 breast cancer-related groups around New Zealand as well as individual members.

We have used our experiences to develop the Step by Step support pack. This provides resources, information and advice to women newly diagnosed with breast cancer. We aim to offer this free-of-charge to every one of the 3500 people diagnosed with breast cancer in Aotearoa New Zealand each year.

BCAC is also able to help navigate the health system and provide information or assistance when it is needed.

    Staff

BCAC is a coalition of breast cancer organisations as well as individual members throughout Aotearoa NZ. BCAC is run by a committee of volunteers who have had personal or whanau experience of breast cancer or who lead organisations focused on providing resources and support for those diagnosed.
