The New Zealand Maternity Quality and Safety Programme (MQSP) is a national programme which seeks to ensure the highest possible safety and best possible outcomes for all women, pregnant people, babies, and their whānau.
The programme brings together clinical staff, consumers and wider community stakeholders to improve communication, and to monitor and improve maternity care through various quality initiatives, which are often guided by our performance in relation to the Ministry of Health's Maternity Clinical Indicators.
Our reports to the ministry of Health give a comprehensive overview of activities and outcomes occurring within our maternity service.
